Meet Océane

At 15 years old, Océane dreams of the same things many teenagers do — to express herself, connect with others and do more on her own.

Living with a disability means those everyday moments can be filled with challenges. Océane can't walk or speak, and she has the use of only one hand. Even simple tasks often require assistance.

Through March of Dimes Canada’s SkillingUp program, in partnership with TELUS Tech for Good, Océane gained independence through accessibility tools that helped her communicate, create, and accomplish more on her own.

"You don't know us. We don't know you. But you make our lives better."

~ Vicki, Océane’s Mom
